Privacy policy

What the Scrollfee app and this website process, why, for how long and what you can do about it.

Last updated: October 14, 2026

Who we are

Scrollfee is an iPhone app made by ODBS LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Scrollfee app, its server and this website. ODBS LLC is responsible for the processing described here. You can reach us at info@odbs.tech.

Your screen time stays on your iPhone

Scrollfee locks apps with Apple’s Screen Time frameworks. The apps, app categories and websites you choose are given to Scrollfee by iOS as anonymous tokens that only work on your iPhone; Scrollfee cannot read app names from them. Your rules, the battery, your usage time and your activity history are processed and stored only on your iPhone.

None of this is sent to our server or to anyone else. When you earn time, our server receives only the random identifier of the rule, the minutes and the task you completed, never which apps the rule contains or how long you used them.

Your account

When you first open Scrollfee, the app creates a guest account automatically. For it we store a random account ID, a random installation ID, the platform, the app version, your time zone (for example Europe/Istanbul, used to know when your day starts) and the times of sign-in and activity.

So that a guest account can come back after reinstalling, the app keeps a recovery key in your iPhone’s keychain, which iCloud Keychain may sync to your other devices. Our server stores only a one-way fingerprint of that key.

Friends features require Sign in with Apple. We then receive a stable Apple user identifier, and Scrollfee asks Apple for your name and email address. Apple shares the name only at your first sign-in, and in Apple’s sign-in sheet you can change the name or hide your email, in which case Apple gives us a private relay address. We store the name and email address with your account; your Apple name and email are never shown to your friends and we do not send you marketing emails.

Device checks and security

To protect accounts and our services, Scrollfee uses Apple App Attest, which confirms that requests come from the genuine app on a genuine Apple device. We store the key identifier and verification data Apple provides for your installation. Our server uses your IP address while handling a request, for example to limit abuse. It is not stored with your account; only consent records keep the network part of the address (such as 203.0.113.x) as proof of your choice.

Tasks and unlocks

Exercise is counted on your iPhone: camera frames are analysed by Apple’s Vision framework on the device, are not recorded and never leave your phone. Steps are read from your iPhone’s motion sensors or, if they are not available, from Apple Health with your permission; we read only the step count during the task.

When a task is done, the app sends us the task type, its result (number of repetitions, steps or minutes), the rule identifier, the unlock minutes and the time. We use this to grant the unlock, count your daily unlocks for your plan and calculate league points. Information from Apple Health is used only to check the task; it is never used for advertising or shared with anyone.

AI photo verification

Photo proof, going outside and reading tasks use a photo. Only after your explicit consent, the photo is sent through our server to Google’s Gemini API, which checks whether it shows the task. The photo is not stored: not on our servers, not in our logs and not in your photo library. We keep only the result. The details, including what the result contains and how to withdraw your consent, are on the AI photo verification page. Before your first photo task the app asks once for your birth month and year; we store only that month and year (no full date of birth and no country) to check that you are 18 or older.

Friends, streaks and the league

If you use friends features, we process: the nickname and emoji avatar you choose; invites you create (the code is stored only as a keyed one-way fingerprint) and the friendships made with them; for each day, whether you kept your streak (only the date and yes or no, no screen time data); league points earned from tasks; unlock requests you send or receive (rule identifier, minutes, recipients and the answer); and the push notification token of your iPhone, with its language and time zone, to tell you about requests.

Your friends see your nickname, your avatar, your streak, your league points and the unlocks you ask them for. They never see your apps, your screen time, your photos or your Apple name and email. Scrollfee never uploads your contacts and has no public profiles or user search.

Blocking and reports

When you block someone, we store who you blocked and their nickname and avatar at that moment. When you report someone, we store who reported whom, the reason chosen from a fixed list and the reported nickname and avatar. Our team reviews reports to remove offending content and accounts. The reported person is never told who reported them. Reports are deleted after 180 days; if you delete your account earlier, your reports stay until then without your identity.

Purchases

Premium is purchased through Apple. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases and keep your Premium status in step with Apple; RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous ID of your account and the purchase information Apple provides. We store your plan and its limits. We never receive your card or payment details.

Crash reports

The app and our server send crash and performance reports to Sentry, in its EU region, so we can fix errors. Reports contain technical information and your pseudonymous account ID, but no IP address, email address, screenshots or screen recordings.

Scrollfee contains no product analytics or advertising SDK. It shows no ads, does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites and does not sell or share personal data for advertising.

Service providers and where data is processed

We use these providers, each only for the purpose stated:

Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Türkiye, we rely on the safeguards the law provides, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep data

We keep data only as long as it is needed:

Your choices and rights

In the app you can download a copy of your data, delete your account and withdraw your AI photo verification consent. Notifications, the camera, motion data, Apple Health and Screen Time access can be turned off at any time in iOS Settings.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, Türkiye’s KVKK or US state laws), you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to restrict or object to processing and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@odbs.tech; we reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

Legal bases

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process data to provide the app you asked for (contract), with your consent (AI photo verification), for our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure, preventing abuse and fixing errors (device checks, rate limits, crash reports, reviewing reports), and to meet legal obligations.

Children

Scrollfee is for people aged 13 or older, or the minimum age in their country for consenting to the processing of their personal data if that is higher. It does not offer child accounts. AI photo verification is only for people aged 18 or older, as Google’s Gemini API terms require. Before the first photo task, the app asks once, on a neutral screen, for your birth month and year. We store only the month and year, not a full date of birth or your country, and use them only to check this age requirement. If you are under 18, photo tasks are not available and all other tasks remain. The declaration cannot be changed in the app afterwards; to correct it, contact info@odbs.tech. It is deleted with your account and included in your data export. If you believe a child below these ages has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

This website

This website has no accounts and no forms. It sets one cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, to remember your language, and loads no analytics or advertising scripts. Cloudflare delivers the site and processes technical request data, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect it. Contact links open your email app; nothing is sent until you send it.

Changes

We update this policy when the app or our providers change; the date above shows the latest version. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you in the app.
